For more than 60 years, Snow Peak has remained centered on the healing power of nature and the rejuvenation it offers. Snow Peak was founded in 1958 by Yukio Yamai, an accomplished mountaineer from Niigata Prefecture of Japan. Yamai set out to create a superior line of mountaineering and climbing equipment. In 1999, his son and current day CEO, Tohru Yamai, brought Snow Peak to the US, with the apparel line being added in 2014. Snow Peak aims to create high-quality, innovative products that enable a restorative outdoor experience and reconnect us with our human spirit.
