The North Face
The North Face began as a San Francisco based mountaineering retail store after the two outdoor-enthusiast founders met in a chance hitchhiking encounter that blossomed into a decades long collaboration and partnership. Named after the coldest, most unforgiving side of a mountain, The North Face created a following among avid outdoor athletes and constantly reinforces their mantra, Never Stop Exploring.
After more than 50 years, the fundamental mission remains unchanged: build an extensive line of performance apparel, push the boundaries of innovation and inspire a global movement of outdoor exploration.
