gravitypope opened its first boutique in May 1990 in Edmonton. It quickly gained a reputation as a source for unique and exciting footwear imported from all over the world.  Originally, gravitypope sold footwear only and also housed an espresso bar. Not long after, the espresso bar transformed into a clothing department filled with fashion brands.  In 2007, as space became limited, the clothing moved to a separate location.

gravitypope has built a reputation for setting and staying current with fashion trends and continues to showcase an enormous, unique selection of over 100 brands of footwear from all categories ranging from sneakers to luxury fashion.  As well, gravitypope has created a well-priced, excellent selection of their own brand, made in factories in Italy and Portugal.  gravitypope is a distinguished source for quality, hand-crafted boots and shoes reflecting traditional shoe making techniques.

Over the past quarter of a century, gravitypope has remained a popular and successful street boutique, leading the way in fashion and thriving as a business anchor on the popular Whyte Avenue shopping and entertainment strip in Edmonton.
