Rachel Comey
Rachel Comey launched her first and immediately successful collection in 2001. Though she began in menswear, by 2004 Comey had added womenswear and footwear to her expanding business. The women’s collection quickly took off and developed a cult following among New York’s creative elite. Her collections became known for artful custom textiles, graceful modern silhouettes, and covetable footwear.
Her work is designed for real women, like herself, with strong opinions, big aspirations, and a view of the world that is at once radical and romantic. Comey's focus is always on the individual, striving to understand and consider the wearer with each piece. Since launching her brand in 2001, Rachel Comey has collected a number of celebrity loyalists including the likes of David Bowie, Michelle Obama, Maggie Gyllenhaal, and Adrien Brody.
Combining vintage inspirations and chic urban styles, Rachel Comey's designs reveal her history while simultaneously pushing the fashion envelope.
