Lempelius

Bettina Lempelius established her eponymous Berlin label in 2004. Inspired by a pure Nordic spirit, she set out to create contemporary outerwear that stands the test of time. Lempelius has two core values that underpin all their designs: unwavering commitment to quality and minimalist aesthetics. Striving to create timeless pieces that can be worn for years, Lempelius infuses these values into modern and original silhouettes that effortlessly become bold fashion statements.

Ever mindful of the environmental impacts surrounding their industry, Lempelius continually evaluates their processes, making meticulous improvements to every detail of their operation. To reduce greenhouse gas emissions from transportation, they focus on sourcing and manufacturing within Europe whenever possible. Additionally, the brand builds their collections around strong core fabrics, allowing them to carry over excess materials in future collections and prevent wastage. Materials that cannot be repurposed by Lempelius are donated to art schools in Berlin where they can be creatively transformed. In an effort to ensure animal welfare, Lempelius exclusively sources food-industry byproduct goose and duck down from Minardi Piume - an Italian company renowned for providing the highest 90/10 quality down on the market, holding the Responsible Down Standard (RDS) and OEKO-TEX 100 certification.
