Clarks Originals
Clarks Originals are iconic styles from the Clarks archives including the Original Desert Boot and the Clarks Wallabee.
In 1944, while serving in the British Army, Nathan Clark noticed the boots worn by Sahara-stationed officers, a simple suede boot with crepe sole. Convinced this could be a new signature style for his family’s 125 year-old footwear company, he sourced the finest materials and craftsmen to bring this simple, functional style to the British and international markets. Launched in 1949, the Original Desert Boot sparked a lot of interest with its simple silhouette and unusual crepe sole.
Building on the success of the Desert Boot, the Wallabee was introduced in 1967, inspired by a classic German moccasin and incorporating Clarks' popular crepe sole.
Adopted by beatniks and hip hop legends, Clarks Originals have been fashion essentials for decades. Each season Clarks Originals builds on its classic silhouettes by offering new materials as well as various collaborations with leading popular brands.
