Founded by Gabriel Danton in 1931, Danton manufactured workwear overalls, blousons, pants, cook's jackets and pants. In the 1970's and 80's, Danton was marketed mainly in Paris. Due to the recent success in the Japanese market, Japanese design has informed and reshaped traditional styles while keeping the spirit of French workwear.
