gravitypope recently collaborated with photographer Mike DiPietro (@seasonsofeastvan) to capture staff from our 4 Vancouver locations, showcasing their favourite new summer pieces. We also took the opportunity to ask them about their latest music, TV show, and book recommendations, as well as their top summer trends and favourite neighbourhood spots.

Have you been listening, watching, or reading anything lately?
I've been playing Piano again! I love jazz and have been listening to a lot of old jazz, Blossom Dearie in particular.
What are some go-to neighbourhood spots of yours?
I love Their There and AnnaLena! Oh and Ethan's house plus the Whole Foods parking lot. All of these places are near and dear to my heart.
Any big plans for summer that you’re excited about?
Lots of BBQing with Ethan

What are some trends you’re seeing for spring/summer?
This summer I’m going to be wearing shades with everything. Indoors or outdoors, my eyes will be covered.

The new Trippen Closed Review that I put on layaway. As well as this Carhartt jacket.
Any big plans for summer that you’re excited about?
My sister is due in August so hopefully I go home to Saskatoon for that. Other than that you’ll find me on a beach.

I've been watching Vanderpump Rules and Below Deck. I'm also reading this book Tender is the Flesh by Agustina Bazterrica. Also listening to a lot of podcasts about the news.
What are some go-to neighbourhood spots of yours?
Just another coffee shop by my house but you'll catch me all summer at Secret Beach.

Red Gate is my most frequented spot in the neighbourhood for sure

I read a lot of news, and I'm learning English, so books to help me with that.
What are some go-to neighbourhood spots of yours?
I often go to Nook, it reminds me of when I was on vacation in Italy. The taste is really similar to authentic Italian food. Also love 49th Parallel Coffee Roasters.

What are some trends you’re seeing for spring/summer?
Finally, Prep and Ivy is back. I've been waiting to pull out the Ralph Lauren / J. Crew / Sperry's out since they left our lexicon. Also nice slim soles on shoes for sure.
Have you been listening, watching, or reading anything lately?
I think this has been the best year of new music I've ever experienced. I've been playing the new Cindy Lee album a lot, as well as Idles, Mount Kimbie, Vampire Weekend, Kacey Musgraves, Cola, Mk.Gee among many others. I can't wait for the new Fontaines D.C. album to come out, their first single is an absolute ripper.
What are some go-to neighbourhood spots of yours?
There's no better place to be after a five-star Friday work-day than the 33 acres patio. Me and my friends have also been playing pool every weekend. We're now regulars at SOHO, Juniors and the Metropole.

Have you been listening, watching, or reading anything lately?
Listening to a lot of house music; Kerri Chandler mixes have been on constant rotation. As well as LTJ Bukem drum and bass mixes for summer bike rides. And I’m watching Breaking Bad for the first time - I'm kicking myself for not watching it earlier!

I've been watching the Sopranos, which put me in an old Italian kinda vibe for the summer

I’ve been obsessed with Capo and The Spritz. I went there for the first time a couple of months ago and now I’ve been 10 times.

I've been listening to the soundtrack of I Saw the TV Glow quite a bit, and also the Code Switch podcast.

What are some trends you’re seeing for spring/summer?
I enjoy incorporating block prints and transforming the silhouette of shoes to be more sleek and dainty; it's a fun flip. Plus pairing big pants with small shoes.

I really want this Blue Blue Japan shirt and the new Kardo pattern shorts - I like the tiger print one!

I've been playing Horizon Forbidden West and reading The Other Valley by Scott Alexander Howard, he grew up down the street from me!

I've been obsessed with Hozier for some reason lately haha
Any big plans for summer that you’re excited about?
Going back to Europe for my cousins wedding and seeing my extended family and spending every minute i can on the beach
