Lauren Manoogian
Lauren Manoogian is a Brooklyn-based designer who creates intentional ready-to-wear and ever evolving lifestyle pieces. The brand’s subtle essentialism has earned a loyal following since its 2008 beginning. Persistent and intuitive shape development, a commitment to a maintained visible hand, and cohesive textural narratives are core values.
Inspired by her materials and the natural world, Manoogian designs with a paring down of design elements for her reductive and minimalist aesthetic that highlights the handloomed textiles and craftsmanship of each item. Manoogian creates with natural materials with dedication to sustainability and authenticity. Her craft-based process began with her early experimental line of knit textile jewelry and each original sample of her collections is knit by Manoogian herself. All these characteristics highlight the designer’s personal and deep knowledge of textile development from her time in the industry and education from the Rhode Island School of Design.
